Literature Text

We are the evening
The day established
And wiped clean
A new tablet
We are the creep
To bedside leer
Appraise our dear
Oh, how she weeps

We are the presence
To behold in absence
Of the currant to which
She submits
An existentialist
With sufferable resentment
We, the chagrin
Of the deed she self-disgraced
To which the morrow wakes

But last year yesterday
Was one year the day
The beginning of days
The engenderment of our days

Born, we were wed
And we bastard spawn
Dined without cake
When I noticed the distance between me and the tumultuous events that had once plagued me, I wrote this as a sort of victory lap.

Now this is just plain gorgeous.

I will admit I had to use a dictionary for a couple of the words you used. But that just makes the experience of reading good Poetry all the more absorbing. =P
